Hey there, fellow health enthusiasts! It’s HATZAK, and I’m embarking on a transformative journey that I’m thrilled to share with you. You see, there was a time when health and fitness were second nature to me. I was a college athlete, effortlessly maintaining a level of well-being that I took for granted. Fast forward to my 40s, and things have changed. Life’s demands took center stage, and my health took a backseat. But no more!

I’ve decided to make a commitment to myself – a promise to prioritize my health, fitness, and mental wellness, alongside the pursuit of happiness. About a decade ago, I made a significant lifestyle change by adopting a vegan diet. It wasn’t about being pushy or judgmental; it was simply my choice, and I respect everyone’s individual journey.

The Quest Begins

So, what’s the plan? I’ve set out on a year-long quest, a holistic approach to monitor and maintain my health, fitness, and overall well-being throughout 2024. Along the way, I’ll dive into the world of different diets, workouts, and wellness trends. This blog will be a window into my physical progress, emotions, struggles, workouts, as well as my opinions, reviews, and experiences. Goals for the Year

1. Breaking the Mold: Cheers to Sobriety!: Yup! Embracing complete sobriety is my goal, and while steering clear of drinks might not be a Herculean task, navigating social gatherings could be an intriguing challenge. Let’s toast to breaking away from the usual and embracing a different kind of social ritual!

2. Nutritional Tracking: Logging daily food and water intake is a key component. Awareness is the first step to change, and I aim to make informed choices about what fuels my body.

3. Sleep Quality: Keeping an eye on my sleep cycle is crucial. Quality sleep is often underestimated in its role in overall health and well-being.

4. Healthier Options: Opting for healthier meals with a strategic cheat day to satisfy those cravings. Commiting to nourishing choices that fuel my body properly.

5. Regular Workouts: Committing to six days of structured workouts and an active recovery day on the seventh. Consistency is the name of the game.

6. Step Count Challenge: Striving for at least 15,000 steps per day. Every step is progress, and I’m turning each one into a stride toward better health.

7. Continuous Learning: Staying informed through continuous education and research on health and fitness trends. Knowledge is power, after all.

8. Time Management: Striking a balance between work and life is crucial. Efficient time management ensures that health isn’t compromised amidst life’s hustle.

9. Financial Wellness: Recognizing the importance of financial health, I’ve set a goal to save $200 per month. A little financial planning can lead to a well-deserved vacation or some fun at the year’s end.
